I changed the bitrate of my file to 18mps from 10mps and forced a recompress and then DVD Architect made the .iso file the correct size. Although the project properties called for 18mps, the file I imported was 10mps so I guess that made the program render the project to DVD size? Anyway, it works now.

Yes I’m absolutely sure I set the project to Blu-ray disk. The program tells me it is a Blu-ray project and it also tells me the project is 22gb. The MPEG-2 files I’m trying are large but don’t require recompressing. No matter what I do with bit rates, resolution, sound file types etc, it says the project will be about 22gb but only produces a 3.8gb file and says it’s done. It seems like it’s trying to make a standard DVD .iso but I can see the temporary Blu-ray folder created while it’s preparing the .iso so I know it’s starting to do a Blu-ray. Maybe my program is corrupt?

Can anyone help me? I’m trying to use DVD Architect 5.0b to make a Blu-ray disk. I have MPEG-2 files which are 1920×1080 23.976 fps 18mbps bit rate. I chose Blu-ray as my disk type, 25GB media, I select prepare, all indications say I’m about to prepare a 21GB blu-ray disk but all I get is a 3.89gb .iso file and it only takes 20 minutes. What am I doing wrong? I burned the file to a standard DVD to see what I got and all I have is a very stuttered 10 minutes of the video in what looks to be dvd quality and pretty much all of the audio. I absolutely selected Blu-ray disk through the whole process. I burned the .iso to DVD in another session.
