Mike, That’s great. I intend to do the same when I get my camera. Where will I be able to access the clip at?

I don’t know if your using a G4 or G5 but we are using one of each, both with dual processors. The G4 has a Cinewave card and the G5 has a Black Magic Decklink Extreme. Both systems have additional FW800 boards installed allowing us to configure 2 G-Tech 500gb G-Raids into a single 1tb raid. I have no problems with uncompressed bit and 10 bit SD video. Prior to the FW800 drives we used Medea SCSI Raids. The FW800’s cut the cost by over 50% and tripled the storage without any noticeable decrease in performance.

We’re in the same boat. I used to be a hardcore AVID fan and editor till I made the switch to FCP about 4 years ago. Now I’m getting ready to give up on Pinnacle.
