Hi, I’m also told for AMC one needs a special card to use an external monitor on a PC.
My computer is newly built to AMC spec, with a Dell NVidia quadro RTX 4000<font size=”4″>. I have not yet installed AMC, I want to be sure I have everything in place first.

Thank you, batch reduce into folder and then changing folder’s name with HD images is probably going to be best. The proxy assist on Otter site does not show stills possibility.
Thank you for the indication to the thread, there’s a great deal to learn there.Best regards,
Rina

December 8, 2019 at 4:02 pm in reply to: how to handle a large number of high quality stills on timelineHi,
My files come from a variety of sources, but 99% are either scanned in high resolution (large files) by me on a v 750pro or filmed by me with a GH5 (highest quality). I’m familiar with lossy jpg and lossless png.My question is, is there a way to ensure HD quality for various destinations (big screen, exposition situation on computer screen of various sizes) without my timeline crunching to an almost dead halt?
Thank you very much,

Thank you for the information, I’m aware of clips and markers not being attached. If I search in media bins, the names of entire clips need to contain the information, so then how do you deal with recurring information such as Betty CU? Metadata tags may be the answer, then. Thank you, Rina

Hi to all,
And thank you for the very interesting comparison.
I’m working on a large project, filmed in bits and pieces over more than two years, with recurring characters and events that I need to organize and be able to find quickly. I’m thinking of a marker system in Sony Vegas Pro that one would be able to search with keywords, e.g. Betty CU.The marker systems described in the three extensions allow export, and hence establishing any kind of key word searchable file (doc, xls, etc.), but would there be away of making clips easy to find through the marker system or another system for that matter?
I would be most grateful for any cues, since I’m at the beginning of editing this vast project, so I need to establish an efficient now.

Hi,
I am working on a project with 3 video and 6 audio tracks, all elements homogeneous, some small png files. All of a sudden, yesterday, while reorganizing project files and locations, SV rebuilds peaks EACH time I open the project (152 files) and it takes absolute ages. It happened after the waveform stopped showing and I pressed Ctrl Shift F5 – ever since then it does it EACH time I open the project.I have let it run a few times thinking that it needs to register the new file paths and so on, but it keeps doing it.
Should I reinstall SV 12 or is there anything else I can do. I have read widely in the Internet and have tried most of the tricks advised, such as renaming, copy and paste into new timeline, closing project media window, etc. to no avail.
I’m losing precious time on a project with a tight deadline.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Thank you, Rina
