Same for tmpgenc… it looks like some cut&trim tools can smart render h264, but cannot edit & smart render, who knows why…
Such an ideal editor should perform smart rendering on untouched frames and reencode where needed (transitions, filtered framed, etc)

Well it looks like some other tools such as videoredo can trim and save mp4 without reencoding, however it misses all the editing features of Vegas….

Is it a container problem (.mp4) or content problem (AVC video)?

BTW, could you suggest a tool that can smart render AVC/mp4? Possibly allowing a minimum functionality, such as fading & trimming multiple videos?
