Its a terrific script, however according to the author it only works in CS3 – CS5.5

You might try rendering via Adobe Media Encoder.

EDIT: I should learn not to post before testing…

I tried BG Renderer on a simple Comp in CC and it works.

There may be some caveats when using the script in CS6 or CC, perhaps the script’s author Lloyd Alvarez would know.

I agree with Walter, I never render H.264 from After Effects. I was merely responding to your initial question.

Though I have written a few dozen scripts, I’m no expert on scripting. A quick search through the scripting guide shows no method of accessing guides.

However: you can set the grid up very quickly in Preferences then from the View menu enable Snap to Grid.

That should get you most of the way there. Won’t work for disproportional grid lines e.g. 300y 400x

Adjust the settings in the Particle section for Opacity Over Life, in the Physics section adjust Gravity and adjust Air resistance.

I did a similar quick-n-dirty mock up in Illustrator making sure I expanded all paths before pasting them on a Solid layer in After Effects. I had no issues whatsoever.

I suggest you check the paths in Illustrator.

I know we each have individual workflows and develop work habits, so take this with a grain of salt – but moving things in and out of the dock seems like more trouble than its worth.

I have a minimal dock, just Finder, QT 7, Downloads, Documents folder and Trash. I rarely click to open apps, having been a QuickSilver user for years and lately I’ve transitioned to using Spotlight to launch apps by typing the first few characters of the app’s name.

I find it faster and easier than the Dock, YMMV – indeed I expect it would.

You need the CUDA plug-in.

It installs the current CUDA driver and a System preference pane that can check for and install driver updates.
