Could not get my FCP 6.0.5 to recognize my SONY HDV deck when launched—drove me nuts.
Tried everything–I thought.

I discovered that when I went to my applications>Final Cut Pro–and clicked more info….the box
for opening FCP with Rosetta was checked. Dont know why but it was. I unchecked….BINGO. Problem solved!! Im back in biz.
Check your “about Final Cut Pro” more info…make sure that box (open with Rosetta) is unchecked
