Check out new alternatives to the wacom. The x-pen and the hurion both have 24 inc 2.5k screens. They need to be attached to a computer. There are tons of youtube reviews. Hurion has a standalone 16-inch tablet

Cintiq is the standard but depending on your needs it might be an overkill pricewise and in capabilities.

By early 2006 intel will be presenting a dual core hyperthreaded xeon which will be the equivalent of 8 cpu under the hood. If you got the money you will be able to purchas a quad dual core hyperthreaded xeon. Which makes a nice 16 cpu’s under the hood.

I was told that things where going to change in avid particularly on the lower spectrum with the purchase of pinnacle. You should try the liquid edition its very close to edit and has great nesting and media mangement plus a lot of other goodies like hdv native (if you are in to that) multicam….

ALso check out my favorite app cinegy extreme for a very powerfull and yet uncomplicated editing composting and animator. there is a free demo available at wwww.cinegy.com
