My issue turned out to be a defective HDMI display. I haven’t done extensive tests with the card yet, but I can now say that HDMI and composite outputs are performing properly.

I recently installed a Decklink HD Extreme 3D in our Early 2008 Mac Pro (10 GB RAM, OS 10.6.6, Quad-core Xeon) in slot 4. I downloaded the 7.9.4 drivers and did the firmware update.

The HDMI output for FCP and AE is green. Footage captured through the HDMI input is also green through the HDMI out. I e-mailed BMD Tech Support on Monday and have yet to get a response. I am on the verge of returning this card.

Does anyone have any ideas that I can try?

Hi Erik. You know, of course that Bill gates doesn’t want you to do anything with a WMV file, except watch it. 😉

When I am confronted with having to use WMV files in FCP, I use an application called Snapz Pro, which does screen capture movies. It’s really neat, and it costs $69. Here’s the link:

    Good luck!
