    Success.

    I applied the easy setup and hey presto all is well in the world again.

    I’m guessing there was a rogue setting somewhere.

    Thanks Peter, i can understand that motion would give this effect but i thought that at 10 bit uncompressed it wouldnt be as obvious as it is here.

    I have previously been capturing Digibeta with DVCPro 50 and have not had this problem at all, but my new company uses 10 bit uncompressed (or ProRes HQ SD which i gather is not massively different).

    As i don’t current run FCP 6 on my macbook i dont have ProRes…is DVCPro 50 hugely inferior to 10 bit uncompressed at HD?

    Ah and im cutting PAL for UK SD broadcast.

    the field dominance is set to upper in both the clip settings and the sequence setting
