I am having the same problem in version 13.8.1.38. Did you ever find a fix?

Now that is strange. Yes it is 8-bit. I found the problem but not the cause. The document was originally 72dpi. Even though I have changed the file size since creation the dpi was 1.016. I have no idea how that happened. Also thought I had double checked that setting.

For example I have a few objects that I have rotated odd degrees from each other. Now I need flip them all along what would have been horizontal before I initially rotated them. Does that make sense?

In my search for an answer I did watch that video. While it does provide improved results the issue is still the same. Targa is not the only option, I can also use tiff or .psd files. However they still need a straight alpha which photoshop will not do. Let me know if you have any other ideas!
