  • I have to admit that one of the aspect of Windows updates through the years was the need to make it backwards compatible. It meant that their operating system was alway weakened by their desire to never alienate older hardware systems. Apple has always excelled at this even though it meant leaving some out in the cold. Since they were primarily a hardware company it made since.

But, this is really a bit too far especially when you are considering a codec like Animation which it not only widespread but the default codec in many apple programs. They should at least have a way to rewrap it in the background to make it compatible.

There are mounts that allow you to attach the computer to the underside of the desk, essentially hanging down from underneath. If you mount it with the front facing backwards you would have access to everything.

Love this. The Color clip collaboration and the deliver page collaboration is a huge help. I can even see a single colorist using multiple machines to speed up the delivery process.

I agree with Marc Wielage on this. Why delete a common feature like this. I don’t think you would instinctively know to replace duplicate timeline with cut and paste commands. This should be added back in.

  • Have you tried matte choker? Or perhaps use a negative number to expand the matte.

I like the Primate Keyer from Red Giant for chroma keys. I also use Cosmo for smoothing out skin.

  • It could be that the duration is too long for the amount of memory or you might ned a fast cache drive.

  • It isn’t just AE, it is all aspect of our industry now. Since developers ,like Apple, started free and very cheap versions of their software a lot of inexperienced people have saturated the industry. I want to help new people but they need to take the initiative to learn the basics.
