    I simply dragged :
    ~user/Library/Preferences/Adobe/After Effects/

    to the trash (the whole After Effects Prefs directory) out of the folder to the desktop and After Effects launched fine and recreated the folder. I can’t recreate the bug so i guess it’s a working fix!
