Yeah, expensive stuff. I haven’t seen any work flow paths either, might ask Barb that too.

Arri 16 SR3 on ebay for $3,500 (no lenses). Even if this gadget costs $20,000, it ain’t so bad.

I figured 35mm digital mag is next.

It’s going very slowly, runs out of memory, and crashes. Somewhere I read the proper order of things, how things should be nested, and I believe I’ve got it all wonky.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

Sorry I don’t know any specific rental houses, if it were I, I would start here: https://www.governor.state.tx.us/film/industries/commercial/

    Thanks!

    I think this is correct-ish:

    seedRandom(thisComp.layer(“Null 11”).effect(“Random Helper”)(“Slider”),true)

But I’m not sure it answers all your questions, sorry:(

Otherwise, yes — different for each fade in. I was hoping to make one layer and then duplicate it 5 or 6 times. Also slider plus the index, so that layer 1 and layer 2 differ but are still very similar.

There’s also a position expression that I deleted by accident. Very simple though, the position moved time*index.

    Yep, it works!

If you wouldn’t mind, taking a second to explain the expression, so that I can learn what’s happening, rather than just copy-paste.

Additionally, I was hoping it would loop this effect too, with some kind of random number, as in fadeInTime = x, where it’s a slider.

Thanks for your patience and help!

Hard to define “good image” because the tone and mood are determined by the script. Is this a horror movie? A romantic comedy? Your choices will be affected by the story.

Without a writing component, it’s difficult to call yourself a CD, so I side with Media Specialist. But also have you considered “Motion Graphic Artist”?

    Kenneth,

With available light, it will look unconvincing (but might as well experiment BEFORE the shoot). The contrast ratio between the sunlight and the shadows will be the exact problem of exposure. Plus, the camera cannot be tilted up.

Also, I just called Home Depot after chatting with them on line. A 5600w generator costs $62/day to rent. Money well spent!

Now, what about sync audio? Jungles are noisy anyway. Might want to seriously consider ADR.
