Small HD Marshall etc.
You can also get an HDMI to HDSDI adapter and plug in any field monitor you already have.

2. Resize to square pixel size if format used nonsquare pixels
3. Resize double with image size command (using nearest neighbor method)
4. Sharpen

Use the image size command and set the image size and resolution. 300 ppi should be more than adequate for printing outside of a press.

If you beak your post into shorter questions people can answer the actual questions. As it stands.. you have a short essay.
The simple rule for shutter speed is this
Take frame rate multiply by 2… then but a 1 on top
IE 30 FPS = 1/60th
25 fps = 1/50thYou can deviate… but you’ll get smearing or stuttering the further you move away

Strongly recommend upgrade to CS5 which can work natively with files.
If stuck in CS4, then look at Cineform where you should transcode footage.

Certs prove that you know software. When combined with a good reel I know that the person is likely efficient. Certs make me more likely to interview.
Having certified editors is also a strength when I reply to a client request for a proposal.
They complement. But don’t complete a strong resume.
