I suspect Creating DVDs with subtitles now a days is rare, but I get requests. No great lengths at all in finding this problem.
I do routine Compatibility testing on my disks between DVD players and BD Players and it hits you in the face right away: Person stops talking but Subtitle continues BUT only on Blue Ray players.
It did take a bit of searching on the Internet and ONE other person already found the problem. I simply verified the problem with the 10 minute test I described. The DVDSubEdit tool was important in verifying.
It is an elusive problem in that the Various players react differently to the bad command.
Reported to Sony. I’d love them to write a Fix it app but we will see.
What are “same class” alternatives to DVDA?

February 24, 2015 at 10:19 pm in reply to: Need Driver for [defunct?] Bella Corp Vegas DV KeyboardGrazie – A home run. Thanks. I probably deserve to be taken out to the public Square and beaten with a Sony Vegas manual as it was on page 75 of the Vegas 9 manual as a “Tip” under Scubbing.
Would never have gotten their without you.
Thanks againDick

February 24, 2015 at 3:32 am in reply to: Need Driver for [defunct?] Bella Corp Vegas DV KeyboardNow that the Shuttle works after “fix” below, it only gives me a -2.0 to 2.00 range. Is that the same for the Shuttle Pro?. The Vegas Shuttle slider gives -20.00 to 20.00. I’d love to get near that range.
FIX
My Jog worked at first but the Shuttle did not. Finally found a little line in the manual stating you need to go File>Change Target Application. Then under program files select the current Vegas executable. After that it worked.

February 21, 2015 at 6:51 pm in reply to: Need Driver for [defunct?] Bella Corp Vegas DV KeyboardI’m not in the Profession but for various reasons I’ve arrived at nearly the same configuration as Dave.
A Logitech gaming mouse (wired) G500. And my favorite Keyboard for the past 20 years a Keytronic original design (not the low profile version) Only available online. For me, Just the right hand arch and Key spring pressure and never had worn key marking. But when things go to china…
Now It seems it would have been more reliable and less cost to simply add a ShuttlePro rather than buy the now defunct Bella Corp keyboard.
Despite Dave’s driver listing Vegas 8 (I’m on 9) I cant get the Shuttle to work. It seems stuck on Mouse Wheel and only zooms but that’s probably error on my part.

February 19, 2015 at 6:45 pm in reply to: Need Driver for [defunct?] Bella Corp Vegas DV KeyboardThat Worked, much appreciated!! I forgot to mention I’m in Windows 7.
If you have another recommended keyboard or jog/shuttle that has survived your personal testing I’m all ears.
IMO, The only worse than fading key caps is a disappearing company, so I wont be reordering these any time soon.

February 20, 2010 at 1:28 am in reply to: How do Video Landscape pan with Feature Indicator?I tried the WingDings text approach and it was very easy. As a long time Windows user, I didn’t know you could access text and symbols that way. That provides a rich array of “indicators” for such tasks
Thanks Again

February 18, 2010 at 10:59 pm in reply to: How do Video Landscape pan with Feature Indicator?Perhaps as I was describing what the final effect would be.
To clarify, I have no yellow arrow. I did not know how to make a yellow arrow (against a transparent background) that could follow the moving house. I eliminated the arrow requirement because I could generate a solid red color on the track below and use a reverse mask to outline the house. ( The mask seemed “smart” and followed the house image)
If I understand what you say, I could have created a yellow arrow/transparent background/photo on one track while the house pan video is on another and manually move and key frame the yellow arrow. Is that correct? (A crisper solution I might add)

February 18, 2010 at 6:56 pm in reply to: How do Video Landscape pan with Feature Indicator? Thanks. I think they distributed some form of Boris with Vegas 7.
I suspected pan & crop key frames were involved, so after a lot of hacking at it I used what some seem to call a “moving mask”. Some of the major stops on the learning curve were:
1) Did you have to Mask the target area (a house) at each frame or was it “smart” and could auto mask interim frames? (I think its smart) 2) The lower left hand “menu” Position/Mask and their functions and how to select. 3) Frame advance (Alt arrows) 4) How to move versus reshape the mask. 5) At four instances, define the beginning key frame and ending key frame (deleting the first and last unwanted key frame seems to work). I suspect I should be able to use the labeled key frames some how.
I still don’t know what the “tangent function” does in the mask menu. It would be helpful to know if I got any of this wrong.
Thanks.
