Stupid me. I finally found the problem. It was my camera! I borrowed my son’s camera and now all is well, at least until I approach the minister of finance about buying a new camera. The “good” news goes a bit farther. I now have a really clean computer after a format and reinstallation of minimal software.

I upgraded my virus subscription…PC-cillin. I removed PC-cillin, still no good. I then removed both PP 1.5 and PP 2.0. I reinstalled 2.0 only, without PP 1.5, still choppy. I removed the OHCI firewire card, tried the firewire port on my Audigy sound card. I’m about ready to format the drive, keep my project and captured clips on another dedicated drive, and start over. Are there limitations on how many times I can reinstall and activate PP 2.0? Any help would be appreciated.

I have successfully captured video and audio using Microsoft Moviemaker. Actual capture of clips using PP2.0 is blocky, filled with artifacts, and static for audio. Should I perhaps reinstall PP2.0?

Thanks for your help. Is the printed manual the same as the “help” files accessed thru the program?
