    Thanks I figured it out. What I was having an issue with was keeping a consistent aspect ratio from FCP to Motion.

    However, to clarify my description, my material was shot in SD 720×480 1.2 par(widescreen) instead of the normal ntsc .09 par. If I were to take footage and dub it over to say a digibeta tape, it would show up 4×3 and squished. So it’s still 4×3 anamorphic – the editing software FCP, DS etc, can define the par of the footage and display it as 16×9. Or in Stephen’s case Compressor and DVD studio flag the footage as having a 1.2 par so it will display correctly on the monitor.
