OK? It started working this morning and I didn’t do anything different? Thank you for the reply Ron. Computers and software do strange things sometimes.

Thank you for your reply. I had a hard understanding what you were telling me to do please forgive me, I am but a retarded mule lost in the Adobe Desert. I am still learning these programs. I switched from Sony Vegas Pro to CS5.5 MS and there is a huge learning curve. Anyway, I wound up just creating a new project in encore and linking the updated version of the video.

Um.. I am a recent Adobe convert (from Sony) and I am not sure how to do all the things you suggested but for the most part it sounds like you are suggesting I create a whole new dynamically linked project.

Why is “revert to original” grayed out? Can’t I just “revert to original” and not have to create a whole new project?

I have the 64 bit version installed. However, since I installed Sonic Suite long before I upgraded to Adobe I’ll try re-installing it. I really like using the Sonic Maximizer to sweeten up the audio. Thank you for replying.

  • * Video and audio seem to be linked by default. Is there a way to make them unlinked and independent from each other by default in the way that you can do in FCP?

To unlink audio; right click the audio clip and click “unlink” from the drop menu.

Now that I can create templates the only issue I am having is that when I use my saved templates all of my thumbnails on my scene selection menus have the text from the original project I created the template with. So I always have to go back and type each scene title in manually.

Is there a way to save a template so that all of my thumbnails sizes and locations stay in place but will uses each new projects marker titles?

  • I figured it out. I feel like such an idiot, I was drawing my shapes in Ai at the width of 1 pixel. Thank you so much for replying. Your customer service is amazing and is the reason why I keep buying and using Boris products.

October 31, 2011 at 11:29 am in reply to: Sepia Effect SVP 11

When I use motion graphics with an alpha channel (such as Digital Juice Motion Designer’s Toolkit) I use sepia to color the graphic (i.e: filigrees). It worked 100% of the time in SVP 9 and 10. When I use the sepia effect in SVP 11 for alpha channel motion graphics it does not work. The graphic just remains black.

October 31, 2011 at 12:35 am in reply to: Problem Rendering Mpeg2 in Pro 11

The only work-around for now is to render the project to .mov and then render it again as mpeg2. Argh! I can’t wait for Sony to issue an update.

September 13, 2011 at 1:03 am in reply to: Problem with Safe Space for tv commercial

This may seem like a stupid question but you said that using track motion to “compress” the track is a dirty way to make everything fit on a TV screen because it will look bad on some TV’s. My question is, how we supposed to fix this in editing? Should we make our shots wider during production or is there a way that Sony can handle the footage so there are not black bars around the footage when we render out so everything shows up? Thanks.
