Optical Flares is an awesome one, and it’s $125 without the presets. Otherwise Particular is great, but it’s above your $200 limit.

Yeah, I’m really not sure whats going on. I ended up stopping the render because my cpu temperature was skyrocketing. So I tried the next day and just turned off multi core processing and it rendered out it 8 min which is still not to fast, but it beats 3 hours and a fried cpu. I’m sure who to contact, because this is my first build, and I don’t know if I talk to adobe, or intel or EVGA. Maybe I’ll hit them all up because something is definitnly wrong, and I built this computer to do After Effects so this is a little frusterating. I did give the cpu all of the ram I had when I tried that render, but I’m not sure what to do now. And I’m not quite sure what you mean with how many instances of After Effects open up, thats new terminology for me:)

Okay, I’ll try to explain it the best I can. If I were you though, I’d check out Andrew Kramers tutorials, because they explain it very well. But basically heres what you do. Your going to want to create a solid for your Background, and then create your text layer and then your going to put your text layer on top of the picture that you want underneath it and what your going to use is a track matte. What a track matte does, is alow you to apply the transparancy of another layer to the layer. I know that probably sounds a little confusing but once you do it you get the concept. So you may need to toggle your switches(little button on the bottom) in order to see your track matte options, and then with the text above the image set the images track matte to Alpha Matte. Now you should be able to move your picture around and only have it show up in the text. You can also change the text and move it around as well.

Umm, theres several ways to do this, but I think the easiest way would be to simply take the text that you want and make it black on a white background, and then use the “luma matte” track matte to insert your pictures. I’m assuming you know what I mean when I say use a track matte, but let me know if you don’t.

I appreciate your guy’s advice. I’ve been trying to steer away from doing to much drawing and design because I wanted to be more focused on computors but what you guys said makes sense. I’ll look into columbia, I’ve also been looking at Expression but it’s a very expensive college.

Okay, thanks. Do you think you could use a particle system like trapcode? I’m not sure if you can link animations as particles.
