Thank you all for your answers.
I tried the factory reset, but I don’t think that combination of commands actually did anything on my computer. I also tried reinstalling to no avail.
However, I found that I am only having the issue with this one particular project. I opened an old project out of curiosity, and sure enough, there was no problem opening pan/crop in that one.
So, I tried closing out all of the windows up top where pan/crop normally opens (project media, etc.), and finally I got a bit of a different response. It was taking a while to come up and not responding, so I went to Task Manager to close the program, at which point the pan/crop screen actually did come up, but after that the program was completely unresponsive.
Since it’s only a problem with this project, it might have something to do with how many video files I’ve imported, which is a lot more than usual. But I did have one other project that used quite a lot which I never had a problem with, so I’m not sure.
Anyway, I will try uninstalling LogMeIn next – interesting idea.
