I have solved the dilemma (including the complete lack of answers from users, as they may have never stumbled into this trap).

In adjusting my title crawl to balance the space it uses on the right side of the frame opposite images appearing on the left side of the screen I had resized the letters by increasing the size variable of the text box, not the size of the text itself. Resizing the text box creates the parallax of the characters appearing elsewhere than the I-bar cursor.

From these screenshots I deduce that there’s a goofy offset in Adobe Premiere’s Title Crawl — the first one selects the crawl almost in the middle, showing an offset from the red I-bar and the four “AAAA” that I’ve introduced to the title. Selecting a spot further on in the crawl shows that the gap has widened. The place where I need to add and change names are at the beginning and end, and therefore are off the screen.

I will assume that the lack of responses to my post is due to a general embarrassment that Adobe hasn’t worked out WYSIWYG in 2021?

If someone would respond that they have no problem editing long credit rolls that would be helpful too, in a way…

There are a million YouTube video on how to create a credit roll, and zero on how to edit them, unless I just don’t know the right search terms. Does anyone understand the offset phenomenon that I’m describing?
