    Great,
Thanks guys. Last Hoodman I owned was attached by velcro and i hadn’t checked in on them. Looks like they are using elasticised loops now. Nice!

    Thanks Don,

I will be typically shooting on on tripod, with a varizoom and using the LCD. We try to set up in the shade, but…

Is there room on the LCD for any kind of hood attachment (velcro) and still have it retract? I am guessing no. I am trying to determine if a Small she mounetd monitor will be required or if I can get away with the stock setup.

    Thanks again

You may all have seen this, but Juan from Sony sounded in on this here:

    Thanks again,

Are you using more frequent keyframes or is the original video just that clean that artifacts are really low at the settings you have already mentioned? And if you do’t mind, what is the file size of “Autumn”.

    Thanks for your assistance!

    Philip,
    Props to you bro,
    Your stuff is…beyond.

Has me very interested in that Letus, but of course…hands of the user.

OT here, but very interested in what export settings you are using for you Flash shorts. Best quality online I have come across hands down.

    Thanks for the post.

    https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/496825-REG/Bogen_Manfrotto_503HDV_351MVB2K_351MVB2_Tripod_Legs_with.html

I owned the older versions of this kit and just ordered this one.

    compare to https://www.videoguys.com.au/scripts/prodView.asp?idProduct=647#2_2

I am not sure how crucial the 2.5 lb difference is between 10 and 12.5 lbs, but the Bogen setup works very well, even with much heavier cameras. It also stings a lot less when you chip it 🙂

Great post, as I think most of us likely looked at the HVX as well.

    For myself, some factors were:

    P2 vs SxS
1/2 inch vs 1/3 inch sensors
    1920×1080 pixel vs 960×540 pixel
    CMOS vs CCD (who knows?)
    Leica vs Fujinon
210,000 pixel LCD vs 921,000 pixel
tape and SD option vs pure tapeless and HD only
    100 mbps 4:2:2 vs 35 mbps 4:2:0

So…for myself, lots of unknowns. I bought based on what feels like the more forward moving technology and a hope that 1/2 inch sensors will prove a winner in low light.

    Great info Don,

That explains it really well. I stumbled across this as well:

I wish I could just come across a term I don’t understand and just move on, but I get snagged instead. Thanks for your info.

I would be very interested in seeing what 720 60P or 1080 30P still looks like at a low shutter angle/quick exposure when shooting a quick moving subject.

    Thanks again!

I guess a better way of asking would be:

is shutter angle just a different means of defining time of exposure per image (angle rather than fractional exposure time)for those who are used to cameras that have defined this way, or is there something extra here that I am missing?
