[Bruce Bennett] “Just curious, has a client(s) ever challenged you on this? And if so, what was/were the results?

    Bruce”

    Legally challenged it? No.

Wanted to own the copyright? Yes. But they pay a bit more and I won’t store their assets.

[Brendan Coots] “Does one get increased hits through image/video-based ads because people see a pretty picture and just want to click it, or do these types of ads genuinely attract more people who are ready to buy?”

The site owner has already provided the keywords to Google for the related ads he wants to see on a particular page on his site – so in some ways that replaces an actual search. So everyone viewing that page is interested in dog-food or wedding veils or whatever. If they are looking to buy – they click through. The beauty of a video ad is that there is no charge for the viewing!

I haven’t gotten sales tracking info from my clients to give you any numbers on which group provides the most actual sales.

[Todd at Fantastic Plastic] “whereas my personal inspiration has always been Maynard G. Krebs.”

My hero. Television’s unique and fleeting depiction of the beatnik.

What was Kreb’s ever-present response to a job?

Anyone? (Just the quote if you know)

[Mike Cohen] “Getting back to what I was saying. If 15 people clicked through from a search result, and 11 clicked through from an ad, there is a possibility that there is some overlap. There may be only 4 people out of the 15 who were distinct users from the 11 ad clicker-through-ers.”

Mike, there is no overlap, searchers and content network clickers are not the same people. If you do a ‘site-targeted’ campaign you will pretty much see your client’s content network. I hope that helps.

Your image and video ads for your clients can return a 8-1 ratio over searches alone.

    Study Google’s Ad-sense program. You’ll see what I mean.

[Mick Haensler] “I’m in the process of revamping my contract and would love to put this to rest.”

“Unless otherwise agreed to in writing, I own all copyrights.”
    Clear as a bell.

Your opening scene is quite good – the vo script is great. It would be better if you quickened the pace. In other words, same vo but don’t hold on clips so long.

[Andrew Kimery] “I don’t know if it’s still on the market but Milky Way used to have a “lite” bar that did exactly that. It was made exactly the same as the regular Milky Way bar except a bit smaller.”

Yeah, with more air in it. Kinda the way we do things…

[David Roth Weiss] “BTW, think of me as the director of this article rather than the writer, as I’m going to interview people, like yourself hopefully, who will hopefully provide many of the ideas and concepts in this peice. Are you okay with that? Wanna participate?”

    Count me in!
