Phew!!! Thanks Gabriel. I followed the instructions on the site and the Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration option has been enabled. The MTS file still shows a yellow color line on the time line. I guess is that how it is? Ram PN

Thanks a ton, Gabriel. I dragged and dropped a file into the box you had mentioned, a new sequence got created. If I drop files into this new sequence, I now get a yellow line.

But I still have a problem figuring out the Mercury Playback engine. I have a recently installed GTX 570. I think it is recommended by Adobe itself. Yet, when creating a project or when clicking at the project settings, I cannot select the Mercury Playback Engine menu in the RENDERER drop box. Though I can see the box, it seems as if it is ‘locked’ with no options available to me. Does that mean that it is only the processor that is processing the HD footage and not the GTX? Again, have I missed out anything? How do I get that working for me?

The time line shows red. Is that always the case with mts files?
