    Hi Liam,

I’m just now fiding this out and I’m glad to see that others, such as yourself, had the same problem as me. I was going crazy the last few days thinking what could be the problem. I had to unload Vegas 6 and DVDA3 to see if that was part of the problem. That message seems to have stopped poping up. I’m running Vegas5 & DVDA2 right now until I get a hold of another computer. I’m running a Dell P3 with Windows XP Professional right now. The search continues for a new computer.
It’s been nice meeting you at NAB and what a Fantastic turn out at the Sony Party.

    Moooooooooooo!

    Hi ED,

Sorry with the slow response. I had to see my 92 year old Mother-In-Law for Mothers Day

Thanks a lot Ed for the information. I’ll look them up.

    Hi Ed,

I know what you mean. If you don’t mind, what laptop are you using for Vegas 6? I was checking out the laptops yesterday and the HP zd8080 was looking might good to me. What do you think?

    Hi Ed,

I have already upgraded to Vegas 6 & DVDA 3. I think I need to upgrade my Dell P3 or you can use it as an anchor for your boat when you go fishing. HA! HA! LOL 🙂

    Hi Mike,

It was nice seeing you and Ed at NAB. This is my update on Vegas 6. I just received it and downloaded Vegas6 & DVD3. I’m coming up with some problems. I have 2 external hard drives that I capture my footage to.
One drive has 140 GB free space and the other has 238 GB free space.
Her are the problems. I started out capturing footage and the first tape went well. The problem was I captured it to the main C: hard drive and it left me with very little memory. I deleted it to start over again, which I have no problem with and now I get the problems listed below.

    (1) Windows-Delayed Write Failed
Windows was unable to save all the data for the file G:$WST.
The data has been lost. This error may be caused by a failure of your computer hardware or network connection. Please try to save this file elsewhere.
No matter what drive I save to, I get the same message.
I tried using Vegas 5 and I get the next problem.

    (2) Sony Video Capture 5.0
An error occured while capturing from the device
    Error 0x800705aa (message missing)

    (3) Then I get this message stating the system is low on memory. You may be able to reduce memory usage by closing other applications.
The problem with this message is that I have nothing else open to reduce the memory.

I’m already thinking about getting rid of my Dell P3, actually, only using it for internet access. Then going to Fry’s Electronics and having a computer built from scratch according to the specs given by Videoguys.com
    What do you think?

    Hi Gary,

Thanks for the reply. I have already tried “Reduce Interlace Flicker” and now I’ll try the blur and see what happens.

    Thanks,
