The Project had about 3 hours of media on it. I turned them into smaller Projects and it stopped giving me problems! When I was using the Undo button, I wasn’t using Ripple Editing, so I’m not sure why it was having problems!

Is the “latest XP service pack (SP2)” something that’s done when I update my Windows? I had not updated my XP Windows in a while, so I just did that, but it did not resolve the problem. No it’s not a Gaming System.

I didn’t have this problem until I updated my Vegas! And the only reason I did that was in hopes of solving other glitches!

    Thanks.

Okay, I got the “line/mic attenuating adapter” ($41!!) and connected it between the RCA output of my Tape Deck and the Computer Mic input. For some reason it comes in very, very low!! But after I normalize it, it is fine.

By the way, as far as adjusting the levle in the computer volume. The Line levele is already way down.

    Thanks for all the info.

  • My Camera has a XLR line input. I connected the Tape Deck output to that, then took the RCA output from the Camera and sent it to Computer, which worked. But perhaps the reason it worked was not that it was a Mic output, but that I was able to control the volume level. (I couldn

  • I actually used my Camera to achieve this. It worked, but the quality of the sound was poor. I knew I wasn’t going to get very good sound, but I don’t know why I’m getting such poor sound!

I’ll get this adapter and try it. I hope it will be better.

    Thanks.
