You rock! It fixed the issue with my web export, however, I’m testing out the DVD export right now. Thanks for you help and thanks for correcting my misuse of “letterbox.”

This is probably going to sound like a stupid question – but where are there settings for progressive and interlaced? I honestly didn’t know I was doing either or. I am truly a beginners beginner. I’m going to have to look up some online tutorials to catch me up to speed – if you have any recommendations.

In Premier, I found under Export Media -> Field Type -> Progressive. Is that what it should be set on? I have it set on “Lower” by default.

Also, what am I doing that’s deinterlacing interlaced footage? I just imported the mp4 directly from the EX-1 and started editing it. Is there a setting that should’ve been different at the time of recording, or is it a setting when I export to media?

I’m sorry…I could probably go all day with questions. I really appreciate your help.

Great thanks! It helped a bit, but I still have some issues.

(1) Can you recommend a shutter speed to use for interviews like this?

and

(2) I have some flickering going on – do you know what’s causing that? Any recommendations?

Also, here’s a link to my video so you can see the disaster I created – ha! It’s just fuzzy and the quality is very poor. Plus there’s a whole flicker think going on…but that could be from recording next to a window…not sure.

Thank you for responding! I didn’t realize that, because this is all new to me. What do you suggest I do? I’m still at the dummies stage with this, so can you suggest what to select in Premier when I upload it? Thanks for your help.
