    Hi Micahel,

    Thanks for the input.

Compressor takes a lot of time but i agree it gives you quality.

Now this is where i am confused. when i set 720*576 16:9, i can see in brackets the resolution is 1024*576. So is it actually 1024*576 or 720*576. I converted in both ways setting everything same except its dimension and the result, quality is same.

Why then we have to set to 720*576 when we can do the same with 1024*576 where at least more number of lines are there which means more information right?

Please have a look at the image attached

May be i am talking stupidity but just i am curious.

    Thank you

    Hi Everyone,

Thanks for the feedbacks. So right now i am converting my files in Quick time or Mpeg Stream and choose Uncompressed 10 bit 422, set as lower filed, then choosing the dimension to 720*576 16:9 aspect ratio, bring to FCP and drop in a 720*576 anamorphic timeline, make digi beta.

So thats all or still i am missing something?

    Thank you
    prathyush

*My Card is Black Magic i cant see much option there, i think it may be a very basic one.

    Hi Rainer,

    Thanks for the reply.

So you suggest to convert the original pro res files to Uncompressed 10 bit 422 directly with a dimension of 1024*576 and bring to fcp timeline with Anamorphic turned on, then edit to tape?
