Regarding Adobe Premiere Pro CS3. I have Windows XP OS. My camera is a Sony 8mm digicam. I’ve done several editing projects successfully, in Pixela, the software that came with my camera. However, I’d like to be able to utilize plug-ins for effects and deinterlacing, which Sony’s Pixela does not support. I downloaded a trial version of Adobe Premiere Pro
CS3 but was unable to import any files to that program. I got an error message saying that file was an unsupported file format. The files I attempted to import were mpeg. I read somewhere that Adobe supports AVI files so I used my video converter software to change the format from mpeg to AVI and the audio was missing. Since there was no sound I didn’t attempt to import it to Adobe. What can I do to get my 8mm tapes to Adobe so I can take advantage of all the extras Adobe has to offer?
