    Thanks again for your answer.

Here is the answer from BM :

“The HDMI output of your Blackmagic product is not compatible with DVI. While
HDMI connections can be compatible with DVI connections, the HDMI output of
our products uses the YUV colour space, whereas DVI can only accept an RGB
colour space signal. HDMI can carry YUV or RGB signals, but with our
products they only output in YUV.”

Thanks again for this precise answer.

This morning i received an email from BM. Here it is :

“The HDMI output of your Blackmagic product is not compatible with DVI. While
HDMI connections can be compatible with DVI connections, the HDMI output of
our products uses the YUV colour space, whereas DVI can only accept an RGB
colour space signal. HDMI can carry YUV or RGB signals, but with our
products they only output in YUV.”

So the HDLINK seems to be a YUV/RGB converter.
The question is : does a simple SDI/DVI adaptor does the same YUV/RGB conversion ?
Whatever the answer is, i am not going to take any risk : i m just gonna buy a HD link when i could.

Another ( last question ) : how do you calibrate your PA41 through the decklink card ? Can you still use a probe ? ( i have the xrite display pio )

    Thanks again for your answer.

I give up trying to understand why my monitor doesn t understant the clean 1080 p signal of Da vinci resolve.

I think i will have to invest more money to make it work…

Your configuration is : Decklink SDI + HD LINK PRO Display port + NEC PA 241 W. Am i correct ?
And it does work perfectly ? At 1080p framerate ?
Sorry to make you repeat, but i just want to be sure before buying a HDLInk…

Ok i understand. But does it work in 8 bit using a DVI/HDMI cable or a DISPLAY PORT/HDMI cable direct to your Decklink card ?
This information is very important for me.

Personaly i don t need 10 bit for the moment, and i don t have the money to get a HDlink, so i have to find a solution.

Thanksyou so much for your help

    Thanks for the answer.

But i don t understand : did you resolve your problem ?

Does your NEC monitoring ok now ? And why do you need a HD LINK ? Why don t you connect directly to the intensity pro with a HDMI/DVI cable ?

    Thanks for your help

    Thanks for the answer.

Yes the signal is 1080p. And i try to instal/reset firmware a few times.

But why do you use a hdlink ? Why don t you connect your NEC to your Decklink card ?

    Hi Manuel,

Do you find the origin of the problem ?

I am very interested in the answer because i have the exact same problem with a Decklink Studio 2 : an ugly red image in 720p, and nothing in 1080P.

If you have a solution… you maybe can help me a lot.

    Thanks

    Hi Josh

I have just bought a Decklink Studio 2 to get a video output from Resolve to my NEC PA 241W, and it doesn t work !

The problem seems to be the monitor. It works badly in 720p ( dirt red image ) but not at all in 1080p. The screen told me : DVI out of signal. It seems to be a problem of frequency : why the NEC doesnt recognize the cleam 50/60 hz coming out from resolve?

    It s very frustrating.

Do you personnally succeed in outputing video to your NEc ? And by chance do you have any idea for my problem ?

    Thanks

    Hi David,

I m french ( that s why my english is so poor… ) and have just bought a decklink studio to get video output to my NEC PA241W and it dosn t work ! It s very frustrating.

I can only get 720p but with a dirty red image.

    Do you use resolve/decklink studio 2/PA 241w successfully ?

My PA241W says that the 1080p input is out of the signal. It seems to be a problem of frequency ( 30 hz… )

It will be very hopefull if you can make this three thing works together…

    Thanks
