Makes sense George. Vegas doesn’t seem to like 30/60fps; even though 30/60fps is a render option in some templates that can be customised. Even then my computer throws up an error screen upon rendering, although I was thinking it was only on my computer for whatever reason..

I shall keep experimenting I guess but thanks for your input.

Thanks Graham. Yes. I am trying everything to see if I can come up with a solution. I used the ‘match project settings to this media’ button and also MediaInfo to confirm the media attributes, all whilst using only one piece of footage/AV. It all seems fine to me.
As I said, I have previously had the same issue with other media. I can work around it but I am just puzzled. An internet search has not come up with much either. Oh, and I have uninstalled and reinstalled a couple of times too. LOL.
    Very baffling.

For what you are trying to achieve it sounds as though you should be using a separate track and then the track motion button as shown below. See if that helps. Cheers.

Not sure what you mean. You want to delete something that isn’t there?

It would appear that you have the ‘Auto Ripple Edit’ turned on for that particular track. A very useful tool at times but very confusing at other times if you don’t know about it Matt.

Can you post a good screen grab of your timeline at the offending event (including all tracks if you can) for us to see please.

  • Hi Jeff. What a lot of editors do in this situation is to have the background match the image/footage ‘exactly’ except that it is enlarged and blurred so as not to distract.
To do this, copy the video track to below your main track, use the crop/pan to enlarge it however you want, and then add some Gaussian blur to create the effect you want.
Much neater and less imposing than a continuously colour-changing background to match your images.
Try it, it’s very simple and effective. Cheers.

View/Windows layouts/Save layout should do the trick.

Good pick-up Graham. But how the hell did you spot – “if you look to the far right end of the P/C I can see the KF site of STACKED Keframes.”? I’m still looking!!!!
