My preview resolution is full, monitor resolution is correct. The quality difference is noticeable on my broadcast monitor as I watch the cut between the old/nice export and the new/ugly export.

Even when I place the clips side by side in Premiere and don’t render, there’s a noticeable softness in the new AFX files.

  • Hey Jon, thanks for the suggestion. I stumbled upon a few other threads elsewhere that it my be an issue with ATI drivers 7.11 and higher. They all seem to break the Adobe OpenFont fonts :-(.

Can you please delete this thread? Don’t want spam spiders finding my e-mail (a few already have lol).

I looked into my Windows Fonts folder, and a lot of them when I try to open up, give me an error message saying it’s either a corrupt font file or not installed properly.

I tried using the program you mentioned and looked on the Adobe DVDs. I tried installing from there but got the same error messages. Are you using v3.0? If so, could I send you my project file and you can tell me what font I used so that I could purchase it somewhere?

Thanks Shawn for the info! I do think now that it’s the same issue that happened to you. I went through my fonts and can’t find the one I used (doesn’t help that I forgot the name either). I’ll grab the install discs and see how things go.
