I tried that and except for the layout it was the same problem.The waveform froze while running the time line.
I’m running two monitors, one with the output program image and the waveform monitor in the corner.
The other monitor displays all the other windows I use when editing.

It’s not that important, I can live with it. I just wanted to ensure I wasn’t missing something.

Yes that works but as you say there doesn’t appear to be any way that I can see to have multiple program sources for monitors so that one can view the timeline as an image and realtime WFM at the same time.
In the old days one would just loop the video through one monitor to the other. Problem solved.
