When you say you are having a problem with “motion blur like if the image repeats”?
Are you have a problem with motion blur, or are you having a problem that the Twixtored results start and stop because of repeated frames in the source footage?

Please send us the source footage… not the Twixtored footage (you could make it available on Vimeo and let me be able to download it) and your Vegas project. You can send the project to us at techsupport (at) revisionfx (dot) com

When you say “choppy” do you mean that you get repeated frames in the Twixtored output causing the footage to start and stop, or are you seeing ghosting which means that Twixtor can’t track very well.
Did you read the parts in the manual that talk about Shooting for Twixtor and Problematic Footage? if your pan is more than 5% or 10% of the image between frames, Twixtor will have trouble tracking the pan (because much of the image is appearing on one side and disappearing on the other side).
If you didn’t put the manual somewhere else than the default place, you can find it in C:Program FilesCommon FilesOFXPlugins and then in a Twixtor subdirectory.
Can you post the original and Twixtored movie somewhere?

Does the original clip have repeated frames within it (for example, does it have some type of pulldown in it)?
Often you can’t tell that from playing the clip, but you should step through the original clip (before Twixtor) and see if there are repeated frames. If so, you need to remove those repeated frames before applying Twixtor).
Also, you might have Input:Fields set to Upper Field First and Lower Field First when the original clip does not have interlacing. You might try setting that to None.

Hey there, I haven’t looked at your project or footage yet, but I see a problem with this already. First. the roto matte should not be on the layer where twixtor is applied. Mattes on a layer are applied AFTER the effect, so Twixtor will never see the matte unfortunately (this is an issue with AE, not Twixtor). You should do your roto on another layer. and then you’ll want Twixtor to point to that second layer as FG1 (and not to itself!). In order not to see that second layer, you can eventually make it invisible, because internally Twixtor can still get the new roto-ed alpha.
When you ask Twixtor to display FG1, does it show the footage masked by the matte? I’m presuming not.
But even that’s not the proper answer.
Another gotcha: There is a “bug” (they call it a feature) in AE that plugins can’t get another layer with the masks applied, so even after you’ve rotoed a matte in a another layer, Twixtor will see that other layer as a frame with all white alpha.
As a first step, precompose your solid with the matte, then include that composition into the comp with Twixtor and point FG1 parameter in Twixtor to the precomp. This means you’ll need to roto in one comp, and Twixtor in another.
