The Motion files were created in Motion 2.1.
Don’t know if that info gives anyone a clue as to what might have happened? -

Yes, although I’m not getting that alert I had already tried that command but it has not fixed the problem.I was thinking of trying to re-install the version of Motion the files were created with and exporting them as separate self-contained .movs then re-importing them into my updated FCP sequence.
