Do you have interview / directoral responsibility as well.

If so I think youre spreaading yourself thin.
directing, interviewing, lighting, sound (which youre afraid of) camera , edit graphics etc etc.
id serously consider hiring a sound man or an assistant with sound experience
this forum is littered with posts from people who arent soundies coming unstuck and regretting it. Not enough experience, ability, equipment and knowlege combined with too much brainpower elsewhere (down the lens, thinking about content, cutting, coverage etc etc. spells potential disatser.
If you must do it all yourself, practice your sound technique in advance so you are 100% relaxed about your ability – let the pictures look after themselves. Theyll probable fare better than the sound!!

holllwood edge and sound ideas, with BBC and Digieffects are the main ones for me.
Noisefuel is also worth having around for little bits and pieces.

Early versions of RED were horrid for any audio. Im told that newer software releaases have improved things enough to be viable, but my early experiences scared me off a bit and now i do sep sound every time with a red. Plus i dont have any of those mini xlrs.

Personally, I dont think you should have a sub woofer in the chain UNTIL you are mixing surround with a .1 in the name. Only then are you supposed to accessing LFE (low freq effects) Until then, Good full range speakers are what you need.
Im a fan of Genelecs personally, but youll need a credit card.

    HI Stan

Sorry if i use the wrong terminology here but
i have a video which is the 1st play, which then goes to a screen with 2 buttons on it. 1 plays the main video, 1 takes you through to the chapters page which has 6 buttons on it. These are the chapters for the different sections of the programme.
The chapters all navigate correctly, and the posterframes are correctly set, and they animate when you are looking at the chapters page full screen, but when the chapters page is seen on the 2 button page, it doesnt show the thumbnail images (still) in the 6 buttons.
It always has in the past, thats why i cant understand it.

Do you get a message about “spanned clips”

I get this all the time with AVCHD. So much Ive come to hate (and avoid it) Its seriously problematic for me with mc6.
Luckily the camera i receive from is a panasonic and it came with a mainconcept software that allows me to convert the avchs to p2 material, that my avid seems much happier with.

If anyone can suggest a workflow that just works, then Id love to hear it too.

    Did you find it.?

Sounds like a library track rather than commercially released to me (from the bit you posted) – too tweee for release (to my ear)
