  • Thank you for the nice post !

The Videos got around 10 hours of playtime.

And i really hardly want to have a Menu, so i can have a very cool collection.

    But would this be possible:

    1) Render all 20 videos to the wanted Formats (Mpeg-2/AC3)
    2) Create UNCOMPRESSED/UNOPTIMIZED Audio/Video TS folders with DVD Architect, so that i get a filesize of around 20 GB
    3) Shrink all of them with DVD Shrink to around 4,7 GB

Once i have tried it out to shrink such a Video/Audio TS Testfile of around 2GB. The result was that i got a 100-200 MB Video/Audio TS File that was playable with the VLC Media Player.
So could this be possible with all of the 20 vids ?

And another question ist, if i need to render the vids to a seperate Mpeg-2 video and a seperate AC3 audio or could i just create a mpeg2 file that includes video+audio ?
What is less trouble causing ?

    Thank you for your help.

  • Thank you for the post.

But i still got some questions about it.

    1) Can you give me a short explanation of the options i need to choose in vegas to make them DVD Architect optimized? What formats should i choose and should i change some settings before rendering?

    2) One problem is also that if i render the videos to Mpeg-2/AAC the estimated filesize in DVD Architect increases from about 50MB to around 300-600MB for only 1 Video.
But i got around 20 low quality videos. And if i render them to a DVD Architect format i would not be able to burn them to a 4,7 GB DVD.

The only solution i can imagine on this is to firstly create the completed DVD files and then to Shrink the huge file with DVD Shrink up to 2-3 times so it reduces the size to 4,7 GB. Would this work? Or is there a better solution ?

    Thank you guys !
