The larger short cut changes were in the v10 and v11 phase and as you can now modify these yourself the new keyboard is likely to valid for a lot longer.

You will not get a speed improvement using ThunderBolt and a GPU, even if you can get it to work. TB2 has a much lower bandwidth than the GPU buss connection to the MacPro motherboard and CPU.
Try using a different source disk than the target disk.. both Thunderbolt. Sometimes the speed tests are misleading when it comes to Read only or Write only compared to Read/Write.
You can test this by rendering to your SSD a small sample.

  • Are you on Mac/Windows?
Do you have CUDA 6 installed?
If you detail your system someone may be able to assist.

You will need 10.8.5 OS as a minimum and CUDA 6.x.

  • I doubt they could be changing Alexa settings while decoding red raw, but in any case it’s a good learning experience in project management.

  • Hi Jake, a number of items here so let see if we can separate them – based on the description….

PowerGrades are user based so I guess you logged on as the same user. Alternatively, when the first pass was complete, in a new still folder, add still from all clips. This is a viewer Right click option.

When you move projects, via project or database, between systems if the clip path has changed you should to use the ‘Change Source Folder’ feature in the media pool to relink to the new location rather than delete and replace the clips. This should fixed you black clip and thumbnail issue.

Also, If the Camera raw settings were saved with version, its a checkbox in Camera Raw, then the adjustments made there will be retained when you replace clips. If adjustments were made in Raw and not saved this may account for the incorrect color match to the stills.

If my supposition is correct, open the original project, and try ‘Change source folder’ and if that does not work, open the project again and set the camera raw ‘save with versions’, save the project then open it again and relink the clips.

You should not have two versions of resolve on the system at once as it causes multiple conflicts.

No changes at this time. It’s under review for a later version but its not a 5 min job to change any of them.

  • Jordan, you might wish to consider the top of he line iMac as I listed in the config guide. Its a lot less expensive than the MacPro or HP configs and while performance for 4K is not stellar it sounds like its more in your budget. Have a look at the guide for details in our new support page.
