    …and I guess its closer to 230MB/s covers most HD.

    So it looks like we need a good 300MBytes/sec for HD (according to the AJA Data Rate Calculator). That Sans Digital states 100Mbps, so we are still looking…

    Yes, you’re right. And Ciprico is a strong company, the huge raid is just old now and on its way out, it was rock solid until fairly recently.

    The work is not heavy editing but I do have to ingest/output 720p 59.94 thru the Kona2 a few times a week.

    We are aiming for $1k to $3k, and right now are leaning towards a Sans Digitial MobileRAID Series MR5S1 – 5-Bay RAID 6 Enclosure. (3.75TB and $3k)

    Wondering if anybody has experience with Sans Digital.

    Here are the specs if want to glance (and I am on a PowerPC G5 – KONA 2 – FCP – OSX 10.4.8):
