    Thanks a bunch Alex.

Is there a RAID array system that you’re aware of that can handle 6Gb/s?

    Appreciate it!

…and apparently HighPoint only has web support and that web support is only available IF you own one of their products.

[Zak Ray] “Thanks all for your responses. I wanted to put ARRIRAW in my codec chart, I think I got it all in there: https://worldwide-studios.com/Worldwide_Studios/Resources_files/Digital%20Vi...

Let me know if it’s inaccurate…

WOW, thanks Zak! Where can I find your most recent updated chart? Does it include ProRes 2K specs for Alexa?

    Thanks!

January 11, 2013 at 1:38 pm in reply to: importing .wav files

[Peter Chamberlain] “From your description it sounds like the wav file has the wrong sample rate, should be 48KHz, or bit depth.”

Hmmmm, everything is right: 48kHz, 32 bit.

    Any other suggestions?

[Jerry Hofmann] “Using newer OS setups, you need to hold don the option key and click on the go menu from the finder to dins the library that has the above folder in it.”

Wow Jerry, you’re a genius. Thanks! BTW, how the HELL is anyone supposed to know to do that?!

Is there a way to somehow add that ‘invisible’ Library folder so that it’s somewhere more accessible?

    Thanks again!

[Jerry Hofmann] “They are located in User/Library/preferences/Final Cut Pro User Data/

There are three red and white icon’d files in that last folder. Just trash them, and give it another go.

I’m having the same problem. All of a sudden, FCP won’t fully launch. However, I cannot find the file structure you listed above. In the USER folder, there is only my name (home) and the Shared folder.

If I go the main root disk and then to Library/preferences, there is no folder called Final Cut pro user data.

    Any suggestions?

    Hmmmm, OK.

So without having to buy a whole new Mac system, what card(s) can you recommend if I’m trying to make V.8 run on my early ’08 1,1 Snow Leopard?

Last question Dwaine: So in theory, Resolve V. 8 should run fine on my MacPro 1,1 with a GTX 285, correct?

[Dwaine Maggart] “The Gen 1 8800GT card will work (as reported by users trying it) with V8 Resolve with the MacPro 1,1 and 2,1 running in 32 bit mode.”

Is there a way to still obtain V8?

    Thanks!
