    Enrique –

Thanks for the excellent suggestion. I don’t know what I was thinking since I actually have a license for VideoReDo TV Suite and had used it for this very type of thing a year ago. Vista64 has me gun shy I guess and I’m trying to limit what software I have installed because of it. I downloaded the latest version and luckily my registration key still works with it.

    Thanks,

    Paul

    Hi Adam,

Thanks for the help. My original note may not have been clear. My final destination isn’t DVD but rather a standalone .mpg files. Lets say for example I have an older DVD with a video from a Hawaii vacation and a video from a dance recital. While importing the video into Vegas Pro 8.1 I’ll end up with numerous .mpg files for the Hawaii vacation, since it had chapters within it, and a single file for the dance recital. What I’d like to do is stitch together the multiple files from the Hawaii vacation so the end result is a single .mpg file. In Vegas I can usually do this type of thing without re compression if the source and selected output format match. While rendering it will say re compression not needed or something along those lines. But in this case it wants to re compress no matter what MainConcept options I choose. Hopefully that makes the issue clearer.
