December 15, 2016 at 3:13 am in reply to: How big of a HDD do I need to render uncompressed in Sony Vegas?Thank you for letting me know, I appreciate it. That’s unfortunate as I can only afford a 1TB HDD.
What’s the fastest render with little compression I could do? So the less compression the faster the render is, right? So if I had a 45GB Blu-Ray file is there a render setting that would keep close to the original file size or only a little over such as 50GB instead of 45GB and still render fast?

Hi, James
Thank you so much for the help, I really appreciate it. What you said makes sense, that’s probably why. I guess I can’t render uncompressed then, because I would need the file size to be 3GB or under. I tried rendering as MainConcept MP4 with the bitrate set to high, it actually looks better than I expected and the file size is under a 1GB somehow, but the colors are a bit off and darker and I don’t need that much compression. I just need the file size to be 3GB or under. So what render settings would you recommend?

March 3, 2016 at 8:59 am in reply to: When I render my video the object moves to a different position, what’s going on?Thank you so much! I apologize for the late reply. You were exactly right, the aspect ratio of my render didn’t match the aspect ratio of my project settigns. Such a silly mistake. Thank you so much for the reply John, I greatly appreciate it and I don’t take it for granted. 🙂

Tried 2-Pass and raised the bit rate all the way, didn’t change anything. I’m not sure what you mean about the text item, I just created the text in Photoshop and saved as .png image. There’s six images in total from my graphic design work that I imported to Vegas, when rendered only two of the images look compressed and it’s very obvious but the other four images don’t look compressed at all crystal clear which is weird. I’m not sure why only two images look compressed. All are the same resolution size and everything. I wish I could figure out what’s wrong.

I set the bitrate to maximum but unfortunately it didn’t change a thing. Still a slight different color/darker and still the pixilated text.

I apologize if that’s not what you meant.
Main Media Information after render:
Size:133 MB
Frame Width: 1920
Frame Hight: 1080
Data Rate: 17416kbps
Total Bitrate: 17802kbpsHere’s what the image looks like before render- https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-6dz4rmRHfBw/VpIOJw_RX5I/AAAAAAAAAGo/WpCVospJi84/w1538-h865-no/Screenshot%2B%252859%2529.png
And here’s what it looks like after render- https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-tK5oV9R_46A/VpINzmAVw0I/AAAAAAAAAGg/pkjwEe1L1GE/w1538-h865-no/Screenshot%2B%252858%2529.png
Probably difficult to tell the difference but on my monitor I can easily tell it got a bit darker and the edges on text got a bit pixilated.

Alright, I did that and tried rendering again. Doesn’t look like it changed anything, the text still looks compressed. Especially when I put the original image side by side, it also seems a bit darker than the original image.

Here’s my project settings- https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-nb3L_H13cx4/VpH0wFi9ELI/AAAAAAAAAE4/uls_0vM9IOs/w589-h821-no/settings.png
I know my image size isn’t 1920×1080 and it’s 1870×500. However. I was fine with the background being filled with black kinda like this- https://i.imgur.com/wswD0tf.jpg
Oh, and here’s my render settings- https://plus.google.com/101650132879622938112/posts/QZFjmKq48M1?pid=6238038216673757154&oid=101650132879622938112
Thank you for taking the time to help me, I really do appreciate it.
