I see the ghosted frames in the raw YouTube video. Maybe a dumb question but does YouTube even allow interlace in the YT processed videos that appear on their site?

Source is 23.98, (sources are a mixed bag) edit is 29.9

Is it possible to step through footage one field at a time in AE? I’ve tried to Google for an answer to no avail

I don’t see the option to set “high quality” in the reg Player, only in the Pro Player. (or am I missing something – Qt player 10.1) The Pro Player has always been fine (either way) it’s the client’s plain vanilla Player that is the problem.

Can’t site it but I remember someone who seemed “in the know” described the regular Qt Player recently as “junk.”

How about this angle… the aspect ratio is a non issue (?) My Samsung E1920 (20″) does come up short with a height of 768 vs FCP’s desired 800. (and I can see that really does shortchange real estate for the Timeline)

However if I a get a bigger Samsung with the same (now standard for them) widescreen aspect ratio, it should satisfy FCP’s resolution requirements (more than 800 height), even though the monitor might not do 1280×800 per se. What say you?

Yes Bret I’m talking about the computer display. It asks for 1280×800 and I’m giving it 1366×768 which is more than enough horizontal real estate and a little shy on the vertical. Am I right in thinking that at worst I’m short-changing FCP a little on Timeline area – which shouldn’t be a big deal?

When you say “I don’t think you could buy a display with that low of resolution” you don’t mean 1280×800 do you?
