  • This is a GREAT question. I have this exact issue from time to time and have just settled with it looking out of sorts. I would love to know the answer.

  • Hi Dan. As always, thanks very much for your feedback and for your time! I’m excited to look into those things and hopefully add a new tool to my collection. Cheers!

  • Hi Dan. That absolutely works! Thank you very much.

    For learning purposes, would you be able to explain what exactly is going on in that expression you wrote? I’m looking at it trying to figure out what it is and how it works, but I’m just scratching my head really.

    Thank you.

    Hi Dan. Thanks again for the help with this. I was wondering if you could help me break it down so I know what is going on and be able to apply it to future expressions. Thanks!

    Hi Dan. As always, simply amazing!

    If you don’t mind me asking. What exactly is going on in that expression? I’d love to learn what you did there so I can add it to my knowledge base and try to apply that method to similar problems in the future.

    Thank you very much.

  • Hi Jim. This is a really interesting question. I’m sorry I can’t help, but I’m very interested in seeing what the geniuses on the forum come up with. Good luck!

    H Dan. This totally works. How on Earth did you come up with this?!? Thank you very much.

    Hi Kevin. Thanks for your response. Unfortunately it’s kind of an all or nothing thing. The Color Control on my Master Color layer actually has the “sampleImage” function running on it. That’s how it’s getting it’s color value. But I agree, a hexToRgb() function would be great!

  • Hi Walter. The source text is just a numerical value that will be the y-coordinate I want to use. For my layout the source text will either be 380, 520, 660, 800, or 940.

    Item Ranked #1 => source text = 380
    Item Ranked #2 => source text = 520
    Item Ranked #3 => source text = 660
    Item Ranked #4 => source text = 800
    Item Ranked #5 => source text = 940

    Does that make sense? Thanks.
