This is a GREAT question. I have this exact issue from time to time and have just settled with it looking out of sorts. I would love to know the answer.

For learning purposes, would you be able to explain what exactly is going on in that expression you wrote? I’m looking at it trying to figure out what it is and how it works, but I’m just scratching my head really.

If you don’t mind me asking. What exactly is going on in that expression? I’d love to learn what you did there so I can add it to my knowledge base and try to apply that method to similar problems in the future.

Hi Kevin. Thanks for your response. Unfortunately it’s kind of an all or nothing thing. The Color Control on my Master Color layer actually has the “sampleImage” function running on it. That’s how it’s getting it’s color value. But I agree, a hexToRgb() function would be great!

Hi Walter. The source text is just a numerical value that will be the y-coordinate I want to use. For my layout the source text will either be 380, 520, 660, 800, or 940.

Item Ranked #1 => source text = 380
Item Ranked #2 => source text = 520
Item Ranked #3 => source text = 660
Item Ranked #4 => source text = 800
Item Ranked #5 => source text = 940

Does that make sense? Thanks.
