the way of making speedchanges in FCP leads to the most idiotic workflows that i’ve ever seen in my life working with professional NLEs.
A way to keep sync in timeline is to use the source clip rather than the original media file and to overwrite the desired edit. However, the other unfavorable suprise whenever you do speedchanges is the quality of the rendered file. the algorythm is simply inacceptable, even for reverse playback of clips.
I often have to use third party plugins or even leaving the speed-changed clip(s) unrendered when exporting for much better results. As for the nesting problems described and the solving answers from professionals in here: it makes no sense in any way. somebody suggested the frame offset in the settings, others talk about audio mixdown, others ETT rather than PTT… what the Heck?
Anyone considered Soft- or Hardware Problems?
Anyone considered Final Cu Pro – or lets better say Apple?AjA, for example, have released now (after a long period) their new Software (v6) for their Videocards.
There have been known issues of a/v-sync problems (and many more) since ages (in an editors term).Using the word “Professionality” in relation to “Complexity” is far wrong.
why?
Many camera manufacturers – in this case, Sony, Panasonic – are fooling the people with new technologies (CF, SxS, P2) and there is no workflow without flaws, but product manager still lie in our faces how easy everything works.
How many new Codecs and Video formats do we need?
Anyone asking for poor video quality in FCP when working with rectangular pixels instead of square pixels in compositing software?
Anyone thinking about problems with poor graphic-files unless you know about the mass why these problems are caused?
Anyone talking about messed up Quicktime releases?
The more people are accepting those flaws and bugs, the more Hard- and Software manufacturers will never change their minds.
They better should Betatest on their own and not on our Back. We’re the paying consumer/user. We are the customers, and customer is king, not a fool.regards

and what about the German Audio Standard?
did you left it somewhere on the way to Kona 6 software release? -
Hi,
take a lookinto the tutorials from Andrew Kramer, Aaron Rabinowitz, Maltaanon, etc.
I´m sure you´ll get the results.
The Typo stuff isn´t that complicated.
As for the second youtube link, you´ll ned Cinema 4D or equivalent. If you have e.g. Trapcode “Shine” and “Starglow” you´ll be near.

Hi,
i Wrote this once for a German Forum since i had to find out that Languages do take a little complicated task (Thanks Adobe)
NOTE: all the paths im posting here may differ on your system. just follow the steps an copy the paths from your own.
Step 1.) Under “C:\Programs\Adobe\Adobe After Effects 7.0\Languages”
point to the Alias “Adobe After Effects E” – right klick it, choose Properties from the contextual menue and copy following target path entry: “C:\Programme\Adobe\Adobe After Effects 7.0\Support Files\AfterFX.exe” -L ENStep 2.) then point to the AE shortcut entry in the Windows Start Menu, right click it, properties, and replace the target path with that from above.
if you start ae out of the start menu entry, now AE should open in English Language.
——
One Problem is still there. If you open a project file directly it mostly will not open in the preferred language.
Step 1.) go to the windows explorer >> “Folder options”… from the Tools menu and Select the tab “File types”
Type a e p rapidly >> you will now be pointed to the AEP extension. With the extension highlighted, klick the “advanced” button underneath >> then, in the new Window, highlight “Open with Adobe After Effects CS3” and press the button “edit” on the right >> then in the second row, paste “C:\Programs\Adobe\Adobe After Effects 7.0\Support Files\AfterFX.exe” -L EN %1NOTE: i have “%1” in my path, but i believe that this is obsolete.
prompt your changes, now your project files should open also in the preferred language.
hope it works for you.
regards,

it´s the “mixed codec” mistake Apple did to FCP too!
i´ve never had poblems to export any stuff out of “MEDIA ONEHUNDRED ei, oye, ai, eje, eye” cut it and respond to this. i hope i´ll get some sadist(ficion)al answers.
hahahah! this is crazy! and my heart is still pounding!!

yeah, i can!
unflexible horseballs it is!sorry for my negative stuff, but i´ve never seen so unflexible hardware as this what we are talking about.

Hi,
his is no “effect” in particular way.
the kite surfer has been rotoscoped (masking) and composited together into the final image.
fantastic work. -
one more for the data way:
download the latest avid codecs and install (ask the guys which machine they´re using) >>
https://avidtechnology.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/avidtechnology.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=75079&p_created=1201627416&p_sid=t4OQYt5j&p_accessibility=0&p_redirect=&p_lva=&p_sp=cF9zcmNoPSZwX3NvcnRfYnk9JnBfZ3JpZHNvcnQ9JnBfcm93X2NudD01Nzg5JnBfcGFnZT0x&p_li=donwload “mpeg streamclip” at squared5
export a reference movie from Media (very fast)
import video to mpeg streamclip and render it out with the apropiate codec. go for lunch.
it will load much faster into avid because its is native codec.
maybe you prefer to send a two second clip for testing via FTP or seomewhat.
Tape delivery ist the most uncomplicated way (but expensive if you´re in need of a digi beta recorder)
cheers

create a new project with only one comp and desing your elements for the lower third and finally save this project in a templates folder on your harddisk.
if it comes to work, open a new project and import your “template” project into the newly created project. if you just want to render it out for FCP (or Motion), you only can use:A.) an image sequence that use alpha, then you have to create a matte too (complicated for FCP because it still can´t handle still image sequences without the hassle.
B.) render it out as a qt-movie with animation codec set to Alpha+RGB, straight unnmatted and set the composit mode in FCP (right click in timeline)
but don´t forget you cannot work in “real time” with animation codec in FCP. depends on your hardware, especially your HDD´s. A RAID will do.

you may try >>

and its “bokeh” replicator – rack focus.
including 20 more interesting and serious filters.
no, it´s not advertising, it´s just a stunning box of serious fx Adobe never will achieve for his customers.
