SDI output from M100.. Embedded Audio??
Hello,
Here’s your chance to be a hero:
Can anyone recall if the SDI option for the Vincent Junction Box will output SDI with embedded audio?
Also, does the SDI output support output of typical (720×480 or 640×480) programs; or does it require media that was captured from the SDI input before editing??

No it doesn’t, I’m afraid, you have to use the AES/EBU audio in & out.

“Anything on your timeline comes out of the SDI outputs regardless of source, but I’m not sure what happens in non-DV resolutions. Perhaps someone else can confirm?

I am considering all options I have/may have for feeding SDI into a new KulaByte encoder.
Our old Media100i system is an option I have been considering, that would leave our AJA cards free for other jobs.
