Jeremy,
FCP reconnect it’ s not usefull in my case.
I need to recapture the H264 clips not reconnect.
I have all my footage across many disk and FCP reconnect looks only in one target destination.
There’s no way!Batch capture has serious problems with the canon E1 plug in.
Actually I’ve decided to do the job manually, and I can’t loose my time anymore.

Hi Jeremy,
I’m doing several test!
-When a project need to be recaptured it’s impossible to move in another system.
– In project, with synced clips (merged), batch capture doesn’t work even in the same system.
Sorri I have 300 clips to recapture and actually is a nightmare!

Hy Guys!
I’ve found what destroy the Canon Plug In:
The synced clips! Or Merged Clips!
With Merged Clips the plug in get crazy! It doesn’t the job!
With normal clips is perfect!
So here the trick! Any Idea how to convert all the “merged clips” in simple “clips”?
I’ve tried to export as a batch list but when you re-import it lost all the source data.
All the considerations, tips or ideas are very well accepted!
Just a little happier…

Hi Jeremy,
Yes the editing is finished. Now I have to recapture all the used footage in higher resoltution.
I’ve tried FCPreconnect but it seems to look just the name of the footage.
Final cut instead sees the original clip names.

could you explain well the workaround?
Here i have this scenario:
5 discs with hundreads of ex CF from canon 5D/7D.
I’ve exported my editing creating a batch list then?

I am in the quite same trouble. I’ve noticed that the problem came from moved footage. The Canon E1 plug doesn’t accept moving the copied cards. Have you found some solution?
Any idea?

Hi All,
I am in the same trouble. The canon E1 plug in is a natural disaster in big project.
It’s impossible to move the DSLR Footage around the disk. There’s any workaround?
May I re capture manually….

PS A DSLR can’t shot a movie!
