Hey thanks for the reply.

Im using the “classic renderer” and my project’s video rendering and effects is set on “Mercury Software Only”.

I’m using AE CC2017 v. 14.2.1.34 and it’s got 12gb allocated of my 16gb memory

That works Dan, not how I was thinking but it works.

Right now it morphs between the keyframes, which is very nice and could have other applications.

I was thinking the slider would just step through each keyframe from the layer.

Currently the slider values to reach each keyframe (there are 4 keyframes at the moment) are 0, 34, 64, 106. In this instance, It’d be cool if the slider just had the numbers 1, 2, 3, 4… to select the keyframes 1, 2, 3, 4… Just so it’s easier to use and if someone else has to use the rig.

But, I know beggars can’t be choosers!

Thanks for that but that didn’t seem to fix the problem.

Everything is up to date, I’ve removed quicktime components, my firewall is off, I’ve reinstalled the program, emptied AE caches. I feel like I’ve done everything and this dynamic link thing is not working. I’m lucky if it shows a couple folders from my AE project.

Any other suggestions would be great, I appreciate the help either way.

Thanks for the quick replies George, but like I mentioned before I know all about trackmattes and precomping methods.

I should of made it more clear that I’m looking to see if there are any plugins out there for this.

It seems like there would be something out there this simple. It would just be like adding a layer style but your overlaying a texture image.

Sidenote: I just discovered the Channel Combiner…. close to what I’m looking for but the texture layer does not move with the layer it has been applied.
