Actually, I bought BCC and the G & FX upgrades in July – $900!
Yikes! Another $300 to get something for 64 bit? $1200 now. If I never bought them and just bought Red it would be $695.
I’m not happy about that. Your advertising literature doesn’t state that FX and G do not work for 64 bit.
I’m having to spend nearly double the money to get one product to work in 64 bit.
There should be some consideration for those of us that wasted the money. Refund? Next upgrades for free?
I’m not in the business – this is a side hobby so there is no income to support my purchases.

Any idea when Graffiti and FX will be supported for 64 bit Vegas?
I’m wishing I didn’t spend for the upgrades to FX and Graffiti since I can’t use them. I miss not having them available.

I bought BCC at the same time. I found the 64 bit version. It seems to work OK in Vegas 11 64 bit.

  • From what I see as I just installed Graffiti 5.3.2 and FX 9.3.2, they only support 32 but Vegas up to Vegas 10. They do not support Vegas 9, 10 or 11 in the 64 bit versions.
Seems Graffiti and FX are of no use if running 64 bit versions of Vegas.

Will 64 bit versions of Vegas be supported? or have we reached the end of the product line? There is no mention that 64 bit versions are not supported.

I bought PI a long time ago and my only original install is version 3. That does not install on Windows 7 64 bit. I did jump through hoops to get part of it moved to the new computer then ran the updates and all seems to work (except the emitter libraries are hidden somewhere – can be selected in PI but don’t display when browsing the emitter folder in Windows).

My question is: Where can I download a clean, full, current install for Windows 7 64 bit? I’d like to un-install then install it with a new, complete installer, to be sure everything is in the proper place for Windows 7.
The download page only has an old demo and then the current updates.

I bought ProAnimator for the text motion to make captions for the bowling animations (things you see when you get a strike, spare, gutter, etc.) and digital signage. I do use different programs depending on what I need to make – as you said, different programs have different strengths.

In adding objects for building complex logos, global hard grouping would be a powerful addition. It would make creating and working with complex things much easier.

Sorry to hear that a permanent or global grouping of some objects into one is not possible. I just bought Pro-Animator. Looking at the demo videos, it must be really hard to work with complex 3D things which consist of many parts. How do they do it?

It would be great if there were a way to group things which make up a 3D model. (Make “hard grouping” possible as a global setting rather than just a track setting.)

I doubt I will be able to make the complete bowling alley (as I can do in Cool-3D Studio) because I found there is no way to control which way a texture gets applied. (Plus the problem of treating all the parts as a single object) The wood texture of the bowling lane has to go the right direction or it just doesn’t work. So controlling how a texture is wrapped around an object would be nice, too. any suggestions on this one?

Demo reel of some of what we’ve done in other programs can be seen at: https://www.cdesoftware.com/products/exciters/index.html

I also need a permanent grouping for 2 parts that make up a bowling pin. Right now they are a 3ds object that I import (created in Cool-3D studio). Is there some way to group them, export them or save then bring it back in so it is always treated as a single object? I can see problems if you have a complex 3D object consisting of many parts and always trying to re-hard-group them everytime you use it. I have some 3D models for product logos (in 3Ds format exported from Cool-#D, too) that I also need to use and the re-grouping all the time can be time consuming and subject to mistakes.
