    @James

    Thanks for the head up – looks like a good package, but it is only for After Effects not Photoshop CC. Knoll Light Factory works with After Effects too, so unless the Optical Flares plugin is available for Photoshop CC, good as it may be, it’s of no help to me Im afraid.

    I had a workaround for Knoll Light Factory. I have an older Mac on which it works ok, so I created samples flares which I use often on a black background. I can then choose from this library and apply them as a ‘screen’ layer in Photoshop. Not ideal, as it’s not dynamic, but at least I can use KLF….

    Hope this helps, until a pro alternative to KLF arrives for a Mac 🙂

    Hi Jakop

    Unfortunately not to date. There are some great things out there for windows – in particular UltraFlares by Richard Roseanne. I contacted Richard, who was very helpful, but said he did not have the resources to provide a Mac version unfortunately.

    I tried installed mFlares, but it crashed on the large image sizes that Im working with.

    Developers (Knoll included) seem to be concentrating on video effects

    If I find anything for a Mac, Ill post on here.
